August 30, 2011November 3, 2019 friendInbound Journeys Valerie greeted her guests, Reyna and Dante, on Oct. 8 when they arrived at the Greensboro airport.After leaving the airport the group’s first stop was at the Guilford Mill.Maria and Marcela posed beside the Guilford Mill.A welcome lunch was served at Stonefield Cellars in Stokesdale where Hector and Gabriela posed in front of the vineyards.The group enjoyed a tour of the winery after lunch.The first evening Winston-Salem hosts and ambassadors enjoyed a pot-luck dinner at Judy’s home.Friday, Sept. 9 was spent in Winston-Salem where the day started at Old Salem.The group enjoyed a tour of Old Salem.A Peruvian guest posed with an Old Salem guide dressed in Moravian clothing of the 18th century.Friday evening, some of the crowd took in a soccer game at Wake Forest University.During the weekend various activities were enjoyed by ambassadors and their host families. Ray showed his guest, Gabriela, how to bowl.In Winston-Salem, Judy took her guests, Maria and Marcela, shopping.Maria and Marcela posed in front of a mural in downtown Winston-Salem.Sunday night the Kahls hosted a dinner party for the Winston-Salem crowd (pictured here) while the Sylvesters hosted a dinner party in Greensboro.Perfect fall weather offered a good opportunity to visit Centennial Gardens in Greensboro where Hector posed with Gabriela.Lola and Maria examined and admired Karla’s crochet project while enjoying dinner at Karla’s home.Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 12 & 13 were spent touring various sites in Greensboro.The group posed before their tour of the Civil Rights Museum.Lundee and Peter clowned around at lunch.The afternoon was spent at the Historical Museum.Reyna admires an fire engine at the historical museum 522A Farewell dinner was held at the home of Val and Leroy on Tuesday evening, Sept. 13.Entertainment was provided by Vance Archer who played the guitar…….and the dulcimer.Our Peruvian guests treated us to a sample of Peruvian dancing.Peruvian dancing at farewell dinnerRay’s daughter, Stephanie, tried on Hector’s Peruvian hat.Paul and Marcia enjoyed a moment posing with some of our Peruvian guests……as did Stephanie, Ray, Lundee, and Danny.two ladies at farewell dinnerA final group shot, but….our group was so large, it took two photos to capture everyone!
